This book had me hooked immediately. Couldn’t put it down. The protagonist is certainly flawed, but you will find yourself cheering him on in his perilous journey. The book has it all: sex, lies, murder, family dynamics, politics, redemption and love. The best kind of page turner.

WHAT A DEBUT NOVEL! Absolutely loved this story…thrilling…fast paced…imaginative. Once I started reading, I could not stop until I finished. Well plotted with many twists and turns and a great finish. Looking forward to a sequel.

What a ride! As people say, you’ll have a hard time putting this one down. But if you do, the story is so tight you pick right back up where you left off. Not much of a reread is required with Article 9! The writing creates a vivid mental picture that stays with you. Kudos.

All I will say is that I have a hard time finding books that hold my attention. Article 9 was hard to put down, in fact, it was a two-session read: unheard of for me. It is a testament to Holub’s storytelling and writing style. Bravo!

Holub builds a heart wrenching story with the effects of a horrific event would have on a family. The family interactions are realistic and woven into a graphic political thriller. Tension is softened with comedic comments from a colorful cast of characters.

Jack Reacher meets Walker, Texas Ranger. What a ride! The characters are very well developed, and the action is non-stop. The plot is delightfully unpredictable. The protagonist has you cheering for him, terrified for him and believing that just maybe you could be him. Can’t wait for the sequel.

The plot has the psychological intensity to go along with the historical background unlike other offerings in this style. I wouldn’t be surprised if Scorsese didn’t direct the film based on Article 9.

I loved Holub’s debut novel. Couldn’t put it down. The story is fast paced and exciting. It feels like a western but could have jumped out of today’s headlines.
